governments are competitively increasing their focus on military research and development; one of the key areas of focus is on the next-generation fighter aircraft, which will place nations at the forefront of military aviation;

One of the few fighter aircraft created to match such requirements is the Lockheed Martin F-35 series, which was developed by the famed American contractor Lockheed Martin. However, an aeroplane with this much technology onboard comes at a high cost, with each unit costing approximately $100 million dollars to develop and each unit must pass stringent qualification and certification tests before it can be used for combat missions.
For example, short-range takeoff and ramp-off are required for some aircraft carriers because their runways are not long enough for standard takeoffs or because they lack a cabal system to assist with the launch or arrested landing operation, as is the case for the Royal Navy's HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier,
which is currently under construction. As soon as the aircraft recognises the six-degree pitch angle about halfway down the ski ramp during takeoff, it automatically positions the control surface and nozzles to ensure a smooth flight.
The f-35b was extensively tested by the manufacturer Lockheed Martin and later by the Royal Navy in both day and night operations. Unlike its predecessors, the F-35c has a longer wingspan and more durable landing gear than the f-35a and b variants.
Additionally, it has higher mission autonomy due to the fact that it can carry more fuel than the f-35a and b variants. Another interesting feature is the foldable wing tips, which allow for easier ground handling on the aircraft carrier's limited space.
Despite the fact that it is a versatile plane capable of performing a variety of missions, there is inevitable competition. The best competitor is the European consortium's Airbus Euro fighter, but there are also Chinese and Russian versions to match with varying capabilities developed by Sukhoi for the Russian aerospace forces,
the Sukhoi Su-57 is the country's first fighter jet. Sukhoi still has the su-35 feature, which is commonly used to compare the aircraft to the f-35; nevertheless, the aircraft is not yet ready to be used on carriers.
